All Australians should be outraged to see how our animals are subjected to this cruel and unacceptable abuse, torment and slow death. The footage shown was enough to make me demand that not one more Australian animal be loaded onto a ship and sent anywhere away from our shores.
The treatment forced upon those poor docile cattle was barbaric and I was horrified to learn that our own industry has known of this for TEN YEARS, yet has done very little to stop this appalling practice.
It is very simple: they either buy our meat pre-prepared and sealed in vacuum packages for transport, or they don't buy our animals. They cannot be allowed to have it their way with Australian animals - FULL STOP. Those poor creatures did not deserve that treatment and it is a terrible shame on our nation, that we allow it to go on without taking immediate steps to ban the sale of live animals to any country.

Those men sure were not called BUTCHERS for nothing.

Tonight on ABC1 there will be televised an example of the cruitly and inhumane practices allowed to happen to these beautiful creatures. Please stop this barbaric method of transporting and slaughtering our animals - they do not deserve to be treated this way. They have asked nothing of us and we treat them as if they do not feel the pain and agony inflicted upon them.
