campaign_manager_small Sandie Rawnsley, Campaign Manager

I started volunteering for Stop Live Exports 2 years ago when I moved to Fremantle and had to drive to my place of work each day along the Leach Highway.  The sight of the cattle and sheep trucks driving down to the Fremantle harbour would really spoil my day - as well as my make-up, as I would invariably cry seeing the animals in their cramped conditions and knowing the fate that awaited them. I felt that I had to do something more useful than crying!  And when Jodie's job became available when she moved to WSPA, it seemed like a sign to step up and do more and so I became Campaign Manager in July 2011.

I have been a marketing manager for many years and so bring many useful transferable skills to the job.  My dream is to be instrumental in getting the indefensible live animal export trade phased out as soon as possbile, so making my position at Stop Live Exports redundant!  In the meantime I look forward to working hard with all our wonderful members and volunteers to fight for a kinder future, free from the cruelty of live exports and to speak for those that cannot.

There are lots of exciting activities planned for the future so I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible at one of these events.

Levy-at-Parliament-HouseLevy Lamb
Levy is the Stop Live Exports Ambassador and lives with Rachael, a Stop Live Exports volunteer.

Levy's mum fell from the back of a truck and gave birth to him on the side of the road. A truck driver drove past, stopped to move the dead body and found new born Levy curled up next to her being attacked by crows.

Levy went to live with Rachael when he was 2 weeks old (he was still covered in scabs from the crows). The first night she had to sleep in the spare bed with him and "he woke me up every hour!!" She bottle fed him every 2-3 hours and took him everywhere.

He loves to follow Rachael around, walks on a lead, sleeps inside, plays with the dogs, chases the cat's and head butts them, loves scratches and weetbix and chews on absolutely everything.

His extended family consists of 4 cats, 3 dogs, 1 pig, 1 bird, 6 chooks, 5 horses and 7 sheep!

Donate Now! and help stop cruelty to animals through live exports.
